Donna currently serves as Director, Client Engagement RSF Social Finance. Donna began her career as a professor of cultural anthropology and taught at Duke and Columbia. When a couple of venture capitalists came calling, she decided to put her analytical mindset and cultural observation skills to a new test and became an international business consultant, first in South Africa and later in the U.S. As Vice President and General Manager at Iconoculture, Inc., a global trend research company where Donna advised Fortune 1000 companies on marketing strategy and branding campaigns.

Before joining RSF Social Finance, Donna served as the principal at The Daniels Consultancy providing branding, marketing and strategic services to companies and non-profits.

Donna earned a B.A. in Sociology from Haverford College, an M.A. in African-American Studies from Yale University and a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Stanford University. Donna grew up in Philadelphia and currently lives in Connecticut with her wife, Maia.
